A portrait of my dear friend and tattoo artist, Rhi. On the day of our portrait sitting Rhi came out to me as non-binary. It was a special moment of love and trust between two friends who love one another deeply. Throughout the portrait I push and pull the boundary between realism and abstraction, highlighting the layers and complexity of identity, gender and beauty.
