This painting is a reimagined landscape that merges memory, geography, and emotional terrain filtered through my experiences in the Australian outback and the  deserts of the American Southwest, where I was raised.  While creating this painting, I reflected on the desert as a site of resilience, transformation, and quiet strength in an increasingly overwhelming world.  It offers a vision of connection and adaptation in the face of climate crisis and social fragmentation. The imagery is intended to encourage viewers to reflect on how we care for one another and for the places we inhabit.
